‘Breaking Dawn – Part 2′ Trailer: Five Things We Want To See

Now that we’ve seen the 10-second teaser, here’s our wish list for the trailer, in ‘Twilight’ Tuesday.

All right, “Twilight” fans: Now that we’ve had our curiosity piqued and our hearts made all aflutter via the release of the brand-new “Breaking Dawn – Part 2″ trailer sneak peek, it’s time to take a break from re-watching it 20 more times and think about what didn’t make the 10-second spot that we hope we see in the full-length trailer debuting in front of “The Hunger Games” later this week.

This week’s “Twilight” Tuesday is dedicated to our “Breaking Dawn – Part 2″ trailer wish list, featuring thoughtful commentary from one of our favorite experts, Kallie Mathews, webmistress of

Arm Wrestling and Other Bella-as-a-Vampire Scenes
So Bella is a vampire now. Hopefully that doesn’t surprise anyone at this point, since everyone who saw “Breaking Dawn – Part 1″ got a little sneak peek of those freaky-colored eyes of hers. As such, we should see a whole new side of Bella in this movie, my favorite scene being the one between her and Emmett and their arm wrestling. “I am ‘hoping’ to see some vampire action in the full trailer,” Mathews said. “There are some great training scenes from the book I hope they include, as well as some great cottage scenes with Bella and Edward! I ‘expect’ to see lots of Bella as a vampire, and I’m OK with that!”

A Lee Pace Sighting
I’ve mentioned my enthusiasm for the new castmembers before, particularly my affection for Lee Pace, but it is worth repeating until more people appreciate him. Pace, whom you might recognize from his excellent work on the short-lived TV series “Pushing Daisies” or Tarsem’s “The Fall,” plays American nomadic vamp Garrett in “Breaking Dawn – Part 2,” and although he isn’t one of the major players in the film, his character still has a nice arc and I’m dying to see more of him.

Mackenzie Foy as Renesmee Cullen
Remember when Edward and Bella had a baby? Of course you do; how can anyone forget that graphic scene? Anyway, baby Renesmee grows up really fast in the second film, and she’s being played by beautiful young actress Mackenzie Foy, who has already told us a few adorable things about working with Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. I would very much like to see her in action in the trailer.

A Shirtless Pattinson or Lautner
I’m sure there is a highbrow, intellectual approach to take here, but instead, I’m going to channel my inner-teenage girl and hope that we get to see some shirtlessness from Pattinson and Lautner. Trailers are all about enticing audiences to come see the movie, so why not serve up some gratuitous shots of the film’s very handsome men for the very dedicated fans? “I have a feeling we will see tight close-ups of the Cullens, a shirtless werewolf and lots of trees,” Mathews predicted. “Plus, you know there will be some great one-liners!”

Appropriately Angsty Background Music
In addition to the fanfare that surrounds the film’s stars and the actual movie itself, there is plenty of enthusiasm for the various “Twilight” soundtracks that have been released over the years, so much so that certain bands have been rediscovered by making the cut. I’d like to hear either a familiar favorite, like Sleeping at Last’s “Turning Page,” or a brand-new and soon-to-be hit song over which we can swoon for a few months.

What would you like to see in the new trailer? Let us know in the comments below, or tweet me @karawarner!

While Madonna favored vintage, kitschy, colorful images for her “Give Me All Your Luvin” video, the Queen of Pop opted for black-and-white sex for her just-released “Girl Gone Wild” clip.

Shot by fashion photographers Mert and Marcus (who also did the album’s more multihued artwork), the video was the perfect homage to the singer’s foxy “Sex” book and Erotica days of the ’90s. Crunchy, sexy and edgy, the “GGW” clip is certainly the perfect response for anyone yearning for that Madge of yesteryear.

Twenty years after Madonna had conservative-minded folks worried about her sexy influence over pop culture, the singer can still make us want her and whatever brand of sex she’s selling. Pleather, whips, chains and same-sex action define the images in the saucy clip. While “Give Me” featured pals Nicki Minaj and M.I.A., the only “Girl” in this video is Madge, who gets raunchy with a number of male dancers.

The video opens with Madonna in full glamour mode (big hair and diva makeup) declaring how she wants to be good but just can’t fight the bad. We mean, who could blame her with all that eye candy around? Spastic shots of her doing yoga are intercut with ones of her dancing around and sexy male dancers posing with one another (and sharing an apple in a way we haven’t seen before). The video also features an electrifying dance sequence, with men in tights and heels, really calling attention to Madonna’s never-ending need to create memorable images.

It’s clear this girl wants to have fun and she wants to be licked, kissed and grinded on by hot dudes. This is Madonna, so fans shouldn’t be surprised that she’s favoring erotic scenes in which she mugs for the camera with beefy guys all over her. Eventually, Madge proves she’s still got the moves when she joins the dancers for another choreographed sequence.

As the video continues to show the singer and her dancers just being attractive with one another, the final shot is a close-up of Madonna, crying thick, black tears, proving that wild girls are saddest when the party is over.

Mert and Marcus are best known for their work as fashion photographers, and that influence is certainly felt in this video. It plays out as if it’s a series of shots in a fashion magazine. MDNA, the singer’s 12th studio album, is set for release on Monday. “GGW” is the second single from it.

Now that we’ve had some time to watch Lana Del Rey‘s “Blue Jeans” video from the comfort of our computers, it’s time to prepare to see the songbird live in concert.

Del Rey announced Tuesday (March 20) that over the first 10 days in June, she will be playing a series of concerts in New York and L.A. Tickets for the three New York shows go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. ET, and tickets for the trio of L.A. concerts go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. PT. Del Rey will play the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles June 3-5 and will set up shop in New York from June 7-9 at Irving Plaza.

The “Video Games” singer’s recent rise to fame has been fraught with soap-opera-esque plotlines. First there was the hype about her Born to Die album, then there was an equally hyped performance on “Saturday Night Live,” the fallout from which resulted in a particularly negative wave of publicity from her very vocal detractors. That led to a cooling-off period that included rumors that Del Rey’s management had to postpone a scheduled tour.

Now it seems as though the singer is back on track with promoting her old-school, sultry sound, as demonstrated in the retro theme of the just-released black-and-white clip for “Blue Jeans.” Del Rey’s residency announcement reflects the very specific touring plans she teased to MTV News back in February.

“I’m capping every venue at 900 , because I don’t want to perform for more than that,” she said. “So what I want to do is three nights in New York, like at Irving Plaza, and then three nights at the El Rey in L.A. and then, in between, do 15 cities, and cap it at 900 venues. And everybody is onboard, so that’s what we’re going to do.”

Who else set their alarms for an early wake-up in order to see the brand-new “Breaking Dawn – Part 2″ teaser trailer this morning? We got a full 10 seconds of teaser and are very pleased to have seen a brief glimpse of Bella in action as a super speedy vampire, as well as quick cuts to our favorite leading men, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, looking all happy and handsome. We’re hoping for a lot more of that in the full-length trailer, among other things.

But enough about us, what did our trusted “Twilight” experts have to say about the early-morning sneak peek?

“All of the Team Edward and Team Jacob fans should be happy, but ‘Breaking Dawn’ is really all about Team Bella,” said Kallie Mathews of “Consider me ‘teased’!”

Twilight Lexicon’s Laura Byrne-Cristiano also appreciated the very short seconds of tease but, like most of us, was left wanting more.

“Ten seconds wasn’t really enough to capture anything. We did see Bella running through the trees, but we couldn’t see her face in that brief snippet,” she said. “So, we got only a little of the Bella with vampire powers that I was hoping for. It was nice to see a reaction of Jacob and Edward to Bella, but I really would have been more satisfied if Bella herself (in particular her facial expressions) was more in the shot. I’m hoping we actually get to see her and not just her point of view in the full teaser.”

Seeing vampire Bella has all us fans excited, but of course there are those who will never get enough of Edward Cullen. When we asked fans to tweet us their reactions to the teaser, we received a lot of love for Pattinson’s beloved character as well as requests for more vampire Bella.

@bellalorenza_ and @sherriatl want more of RPattz, whereas @catprodd requested the trailer “bring on the new vamps” that make their debut in part 2. @theLynsJ is all about the new vampy Mrs. Cullen. “Bella running through the woods,” she tweeted about her favorite part of the teaser. “I can’t wait to see her do vampire-y things!”
